What’s New In The Garden:
The Endless Summer Hydrangea -
NEW for Spring 2004

In mid summer when hydrangeas are in bloom we wish that they would never stop. Their long-lasting blue, pink and white mop-head flowers are an integral part of our warm weather gardenscape. In spite of their beauty, hydrangeas have been hard to predict and there are usually many questions: When can I prune my hydrangeas? How do I get blue flowers or pink? How long will my hydrangeas be in bloom?

This spring, Gale’s Westlake will introduce a new hydrangea called “Endless Summer”, the first Hydrangea Macrophylla to bloom on both old and new wood for repeat blooming color all season long. In addition to repeat blooming, “Endless Summer” is unusually hardy even in Zone 4 climates. It produces big, showy flower mops – clear pink in alkaline soils and blue blooms in acidic soils. The plants grow 3 – 5’ in width and height and are an excellent choice for foundation, shrub or perennial borders. Be sure to ask about our NEW Endless Summer hydrangea at the Spring Festival this year!
