Small Bulbs for Rock Gardens and Lawns
Gale’s Westlake has the area’s biggest and best selection of bulbs and that includes small bulbs which are becoming more and more
popular. Try planting small
groupings in rock gardens. In large areas such as lawns, small flowers require lots of bulbs to make a colorful statement. Don’t plant them in straight rows or
scatter them too far apart. About 6 inches apart in all directions will create a more intense show of color.
There’s no more reliable sign of spring than a burst of colorful Crocuses. Chionodoxa and Glory-of-the-Snow add subtle hues with delicate
pastel-colored flowers. Most small bulbs including Grape Hyacinths and Scilla will multiply naturally, so your spring show will be more spectacular as the years go by. Stop in to see the color and variety available and be sure to read each flower description for planting depth and bloom time.
