With this past winter’s harsh winds and heavy snow, we’ve seen a lot of evergreens toppled over
or split in half. Rick Miralia, our Nursery Department Head has the following advice:

“Winter is here to stay in northeast Ohio so
instead of replacing these trees with the same variety, try some of the hardier selections available here at Gale’s Westlake. Sky Pencil Holly is a great upright evergreen to provide height to your landscape. Add a few lilacs for their wonderful aroma and your yard will have an entirely new personality.”
