April is National
Garden Month

Get ready, get set, garden! April has been desiginated National Garden Month by the National Gardening Association (NGA) to raise awareness of the many healthful benefits - to gardeners and the environment - of gardening. This year’s campaign is “Give a Garden”. Designed with the simple premise that there is someone in your community who will benefit by receiving a “garden” from you, the program encourages the “gifting” of a garden experience to a friend, neighbor or colleauge. Your garden can be as small as a container of geraniums for an elderly neighbor, or as elaborate as planting a garden at a local public park. The call to action is out to individuals, schools, garden centers and businesses everywhere. take part - you’ll be glad you did!
