2005 Perennial Plant Of The Year

The 2005 Perennial Plant Of the year is Helleborus, commonly known as the Lenten Rose. An easy-to-grow, early flowering, shade-loving perennial that blooms in late winter to early spring. The elegant cupped flowers range from purple to maroon, pink to white, and even a rare yellow. Out of bloom, the handsome, glossy leaves continue to provide interest in the garden.
