Our National Tree

Consider the oak. There’s more than one good reason it has recently been appointed the National Tree by President Bush. With the renewed interest in this grand-daddy of shade trees, newer varieties are being introduced. Surely one of these majestic trees can find a home in your yard. Not only does landscaping increase the value of your property, it provides you with a wonderful creative outlet, vigorous exercise and the satisfaction of making a valuable contribution to our Mother Earth.
And remember: buying plant material is not unlike owning pets. They both need care and attention. Nourishment and maintenance. But the reward is great. With an oak, it will be a beautiful, majestic shade tree for generations to share.
